I build objects using polygon modeling, sculpting and a healthy obsession with form. All of it starts with an idea, proceeds to a lot of polygon pushing and ends up somewhere unexpected. Here are some of the results.

3D Printed Miniatures

Miniatures are tiny but only once they're done. Before that they're tiny pixels on your screen with big unnoticeable problems that need to be solved. Which is right up my alley.

It also helps that they offer ways to bring digital media into real life with a lot of joy cramped into tiny forms.

Reality Capture

Where studying reality fails, capturing it and bringing into the digital realm gives humanity and concreteness to polygons that would be lifeless without it.
I enjoy tinkering with both the final products of Motion Capture & 3D Scanning as well as finding new and interesting ways to create them.

3D Printable Models

Finding a way to combine two things on my list of favourite things is something I'm always excited to do. In this case, cars and 3D printing. Double the joy but double the technical constrains and a large margin of error for the necessary test prints to make sure the models actually print.

Here's a collection of a few that I've worked on.

Game-Ready 3D Models

Building models for real-time environments is always a tightrope between visual fidelity and performance.

These case studies chart my progress and my process: from technical constraints and modeling strategies, to UV unwrapping, optimization, and lessons learned along the way
